HEEEY GURLFRIEND!!!

I love the arm of his handler in these photos. She’s saying ‘Okay, okay. Stop it. Stop it now Ben. Ben they are taking photos. Come on now walk away Ben.”

starwarscastlegeek:

I just love everything about this.

“Well, what else can you say about the man? He’s fond of red wine, he doesn’t really know who the Beatles were. He’s a loving— and non-mysogynist— husband to the equally brilliant but far more beautiful wife Sue Vertue.”

Their whole speech is amazing.

I think I just fell in love with this man all over again… “Oops!”. Aww, we all make mistakes, m’dear!

Urgh, damn your perfect face.

The amount of time I spent staring at that second gif might have been a wee bit unhealthy.

[Benedict] flipped up the locks of hair on his forehead where the skin is mottled in patches — a remnant of his days as a laboratory creation in “Frankenstein” and the makeup process that burned and ripped at his skin. “I have actual acting scars,” he said. “That’s what they are … and the sunshine here just makes it worse if I’m not careful.

Whoa.

But it’s great when people like Charlize Theron can have “an ugly moment.” Then when people say, “it was just ‘unbeautifying’ her — that’s why she got the Oscar,” I just want to get up and punch them. Not only was it an incredible performance in “Monster” and a really unattractive character in “Young Adult,” where she was extraordinary, but she’s proven that actresses can have more than a shelf life, that they can have careers dependent on where they are and who they are at any given time in their life, not trying to maintain the idealized youth thing.

Benedict Cumberbatch, “The Uncensored Sherlock Interview”, Metro News.

THIS. THIS, RIGHT HERE.

THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why I am a Benedict Cumberbatch fan. Because not only is he an insanely brilliant actor, and a sweetheart towards his fans, but because he also does interviews and says shit like this

Feminism + talent + good looks + huge intelligence = I don’t even have the words to fully describe how this makes me feel.

AKLSJDFHASJKDFHAKLJDFSHLAKJSHDFKJL comes closer than anything coherent.

(Check out the rest of the interview for glorious wafflebatching, swearing, and delight over the success of Sherlock.)

He is just such a brilliant person. This interview is wonderful.

There’s a lot of gothic in Sherlock. I don’t like to repeat myself too much. I think there are too many vampire franchises. Like a lot of things in my life… it’d be nice if the culture had a bit of time to breathe and not see another revival of the same thing again and again and again.

Benedict Cumberbatch on trying to avoid a proposed role in Dracula

As perfect as he would undoubtedly be, he’s absolutely right. The last thing we need is another Dracula movie. Stay away Ben.

It’s been said that you’re similar to Sherlock. Are you?
I’m like every character I’ve ever played. There is an awful lot of me that’s not like Sherlock but that’s the me to share with those I know and love.

Frankenstein screenings in Europe - NT live venues

saniday:

fox-rain:

Since the announcement of Frankestein screenings in June I’ve been hunting National Theatre live website everyday for the dates and venues in Europe. Since I live quite far from there, it’s very important for me to know beforehand, where to go.

I was rather surprised that very few venues have the screenings announced. I asked NTlive via twitter twice about it, but I believe they get so many mentions that they missed my questions. And I signed for email updates on NT live (and recieved only 1 email during three weeks and nothing containing Frankenstein), which sadly weren’t very helpful.

So I started checking the venues’ websites everyday mysefl. And then I thought that there might be others who are looking too, so I made this list and I tried to include the links to the NTlive pages (where possible), because navigating those sites was very tiresome.

THE LIST OF EUROPE VENUES ON NT LIVE WEBSITE.

Please, drop me comments if you find any errors :D I hope that someone else would find this list helpful.

It’s great that you posted this, I’m sure many will find it helpful :]

He’s incredible. What he does with language is incredible. His training is amazing and he’s so magnetic, he holds the screen in any size frame, he really is a joy to watch.
